About the project

Our client is an organization whose mission is training and improving the practice of road engineering, particularly in Canada. Our client hosts conferences, symposiums, forums, and technical training sessions all through the year to analyze the various obstacles and innovations that define the evolution of transportation.

The client is in need of upgrading a learning management system (LMS) that offers online courses about engineering and transportation. They want to customize the existing system to meet the needs of the business.

The project had been built with lots of complex features, which made it more difficult to add new features. Moreover, the project’s existing source code contained numerous bugs and incorrect sections with poor security and consistency. These errors caused a variety of problems in data synchronization and maintaining consistency within systems.

With the skilled and experienced technical developer, BHSoft has helped our client customize the system with unique features following their requirements. In addition to fixing bugs in the existing version, we have built new features including tax administration, signature generator, and email template customization. Moreover, we upgraded the CI version for the project source code from CI3 to CI4.

Features of the platform
- Admin users have the right to:
+ Manage all courses and lessons: see course and lesson status, set price, etc.
+ Approve and add users as instructors, employers, employees or students.
+ Manage revenue and tax.
- Students can browse and purchase courses. They can join the quiz and track their progress.
- Instructors can post courses and create quizzes.
