About the project

This project BHSOFT partnered with a Finnish technology company specializing in local connectivity solutions to build a registration-free, location-based mobile application. The app enables users to communicate within specific neighborhoods or local zones, offering a hyperlocal social networking experience.


Beyond development, BHSOFT also provides ongoing maintenance and support services, ensuring the app remains fully operational, cost-efficient, and user-friendly over time. With a focus on area-based communication, the app bridges communities, enhances local engagement, and creates new ways for users to interact in shared spaces.

The client requested a fully cross-platform solution that could:

  • Select and visually illustrate geographic areas within neighborhoods on a map interface.
  • Support both Android and iOS natively, while leveraging Flutter for development efficiency.
  • Provide real-time communication tools without requiring user registration.
  • Be cost-effective, easily maintainable, and optimized for long-term functionality.
  • Deliver smooth UX regardless of device or platform.

The app needed to offer location awareness, neighborhood-based social engagement, and service discovery—all wrapped in a sleek, modern interface.

Developing a high-precision, location-based communication tool presented several technical challenges:

  • Algorithm Complexity: Calculating and illustrating specific areas within a neighborhood required advanced mapping logic, particularly to maintain accuracy across different map APIs.
  • Platform Consistency: Ensuring consistent behavior between Android and iOS when rendering custom geographic zones and map features.
  • Location Data Precision: Managing location-based interactions with accuracy while maintaining performance and battery efficiency on mobile devices.



To address these challenges, BHSoft applied a combination of technical refinement and iterative development:
