About the project

This project, BHSOFT collaborated with a German engineering software company to modernize and enhance a critical platform used in the End-of-Life Vehicle (ELV) processing sector. The system supports the environmentally responsible dismantling and pre-treatment of retired vehicles by offering structured, manufacturer-specific guidelines.

This web-based application acts as a central knowledge hub for dismantling professionals, providing detailed procedures for handling high-risk vehicle components such as airbags, high-voltage batteries, and fuel systems. The platform plays a vital role in ensuring global compliance with ELV regulations, helping stakeholders evaluate recyclability and recoverability rates—key metrics required for environmental certification and automotive manufacturing approvals.

With support for over 70 international automotive brands, coverage across 40+ countries, and multilingual accessibility in 31 languages, the system is tailored to meet the needs of a globally distributed user base.

The client sought to transform their legacy web application into a modern, scalable platform capable of supporting global vehicle dismantling operations. Core requirements included:

System Modernization: Rebuild the application interface to improve usability, performance, and cross-device accessibility.
