About the project

Our client is a Vietnamese company specializing in Chemicals and Electrical Equipment. They offer optimal solutions, high-quality products, and exceptional after-sales services to meet a diverse range of customer needs. Over the past 15 years, with offices and warehouses nationwide, they remain dedicated to delivering comprehensive service and sustainable solutions for the future.

They’ve been collaborating with BHSOFT to develop a cutting-edge multi-platform system designed to transform urban infrastructures through smart outdoor lighting control and innovative smart city solutions. This system not only reduces energy consumption and operational costs but also paves the way for the digital transformation of smart cities.

The system must feature an intuitive interface that is both simple and highly functional for end users. The client also emphasized the importance of scalability, ensuring the system can handle hundreds of thousands of devices at high speeds. Additionally, the system must be ready for seamless integration with third-party services, adhering to an open standard communication protocol designed to enable the interoperability of smart city and smart building solutions.

During the implementation of this project, we encountered a few challenges:

The user access levels were quite complex, involving not only user roles but also permissions to view, edit, and delete data within each menu and sub-menu, as well as permissions for accessing different zones and projects in the system.
Communicating with devices such as LCUs, DCUs, cameras, and databoxes proved difficult, as the technical documentation provided by the supplier was inaccurate at some points, and some devices had hardware issues.

Here are the key solutions we applied:

User Access Levels: We implemented a dynamic access control system that combines role-based permissions with data-level access, allowing tailored access for each user based on their role, data needs, and project or zone assignments.
Device Issues: We worked closely with the supplier’s technical team to validate device specifications.
