About the project


This project was for a company specializing in the production of car wrap products and on-demand sales of product packages to businesses across North America. The main goal was to unify and optimize the company's existing fragmented system by consolidating various programming languages and technologies into a single, streamlined system tailored specifically for vehicle wrap companies managing fleet graphics. 

Our client faced challenges in achieving an optimized and unified system due to the fragmentation of their existing systems across multiple programming languages. They sought a unified solution to improve management, while also incorporating advanced features to enhance the experience for multiple user roles.

 

BHSoft initially faced a significant challenge with the existing system, which was poorly constructed due to its reliance on multiple versions of PHP, Node.js, Angular, and PSP, each serving different purposes. The complexity of managing these disparate components caused delays and inefficiencies, demanding in-depth communication with the client to understand the underlying issues.

Additionally, the previous version of Node.js had a lackluster user interface and design, which negatively impacted the overall user experience. The outdated system lacked the necessary visual appeal and functionality, further complicating the user journey.

Finally, communication challenges arose between the development team and the client. The client struggled to balance their primary responsibilities with attending to the project, and messages often went unanswered due to a lack of direct communication channels.


To address the issues of fragmentation and poor performance, BHSOFT implemented the following solutions:

  • System Unification: BHSoft conducted an in-depth analysis and worked closely with the client to consolidate the existing system. Over the course of two months, we streamlined the system by replacing outdated technologies and ensuring that all components worked seamlessly together.
  • User Interface and Experience Enhancement: We migrated to AngularJS to improve the system's visual appeal and usability. The upgraded UI not only enhanced the user experience but also made the platform more intuitive and responsive for users across all roles.
  • Proactive Communication: To resolve communication challenges, BHSoft adopted a more proactive approach to planning and encouraged clearer communication from the client. This facilitated faster decision-making and led to a more collaborative development process.
  • Performance Optimization: BHSoft migrated the client’s PHP database to a Node.js proxy, which significantly improved the system's performance and scalability. This upgrade helped ensure the platform could support future growth and evolving business needs.




After two months of thorough investigation, research, and collaboration with the client, BHSOFT successfully unified the system, streamlining its management and boosting its overall performance. The consolidation allowed the client to:

  • Increase Efficiency: By eliminating redundant technologies, we reduced system errors and downtime, resulting in a more reliable platform.
  • Improve User Experience: The new AngularJS interface improved the system’s design, making it more visually appealing and functional.
  • Enhance Scalability: The migration to Node.js ensured that the system could easily scale with the business as it grows.

As a result, the client was able to manage their operations more effectively, reduce delays, and improve the overall experience for both internal users and customers. This foundational upgrade has set the stage for the next phase of development, ensuring that the system can evolve as business requirements change.
