About the project

The client operates in the Talent Acquisition industry in Singapore. Similar to other job sites on the Internet, the purpose of this applicant portal and candidate tracking system is to help 3 types of users (job seekers, employer companies & recruitment agencies) to meet and match the best candidates for jobs in maximum number and reduce the time for sourcing.

The client required the system to be a good one with nice design and functionalities for job seekers, good candidate and job management functions for employers, and most importantly the high number of candidate’s resumes in the system to attract more employers to post available jobs in the system. The system must be able to import resumes from outside into its database as well.

The existing system was developed by another company, and had major design, performance and functional issues. There was a major need to redesign the workflows, interfaces and data structure. The challenge was to work with the Client’s business owner and staff to redefine all requirements, retain the core business ideas of the old system but also come up with radical new ways to improve accuracy and productivity.

BHSOFT was responsible for developing the system that provides a range of functionalities typically created for each type of user including Job Seekers, Employers, and Recruitment Agencies.
Features of the system:

Companies who are recruiting can directly create an Employer profile, and post job advertisements on the Portal.
Recruitment agencies can also create an Agency profile, so they can post job advertisements on behalf of their clients, which are other companies.
Job seekers can create their profile, search and apply for jobs on the portal.
Employers and Agencies receive applications from applicants and process them.
Employers and Agencies can also email candidate’s resumes to other people outside of the system.
In case of Agencies, the system enables the function to convert candidates’ resumes into the Agency format (branded format) before emailing.
